A disabled access lift within the turret of a rebuild castle. Here the brief was to allow access to the upper floor within the confines of an ’empty’ turret. We liaised with architects and builders to ensure that the optimum platform size and shape could be accommodated within the irregular walls of the turret and also the constraints of the civils of the foundations. The resulting shaft created protects the fabric of the building and provides a simple and reliable access solution.
